eggpicturelittle.jpgTonight, The East Girard Gastropub is "officially" opening at 200 East Girard, which formerly housed Mike Stollenwerk's Fathom Seafood. Nicknamed The E.G.G., the menu is stacked with run-of-the-mill pub grub, and a Hangar Steak tops out plate prices at $16. Tonight's festivities include half-priced beers, passed hors d'ouvres, and most likely a gaggle of people laughing at the silly acronym. Lest we forget that a block away once lived the unfortunately-named Swallow, so give it a rest. [EaterWire]
