Marcie Turney is often referred to as the best female chef in Philly, so it's no surprise that she's throwing a dinner at Barbuzzo on October 21 to celebrate the release of Charlotte Druckman's new book, Skirt Steak. Turney has rounded up some of the best female kitchen talent in the city to help her out with the event, including: Jennifer Carroll (Concrete Blonde), Anne Coll (Meritage), Monica Glass (Clio), Lindsay McClain (Jamonera), Natalie Maronski (Chifa), and Susan VanVreede (Distrito). The girl power isn't limited to the pots and pans, either, as Phoebe Esmon and Katie Loeb are in charge of the cocktails.
The dinner costs $95 per person for six courses with beverage pairing, and a signed copy of the book. Reservations for the event can be made by calling the restaurant at 215-546-9300, and space is very limited. A portion of the sales will go to Women Against Abuse.
