The Shutter

nanthumbpic.jpgNan has officially shuttered in U-City, after owner Kamol Phutlek "temporarily" closed his BYOB this past Spring when he fell ill. Phutlek is still quite sick, though, which means Nan isn't coming back ever, and a Vietnamese BYOB will be moving in. Phutlek has been part of Philly's food landscape since the late 1960s, when he opened La Panetiere on Spruce Street where Vetri is now. [The Insider]
