The recently-departed Senator Arlen Specter was a regular at The Oyster House, and owner Sam Mink was reminded as such a few days ago. Mink told The Insider that Specter could never eat the Oyster House baguettes (he stuck to whole grains), so the restaurant kept Le Bus bread on-hand specifically for him. On the day of Specter's funeral, staff reached into the walk-in, coming across a bag labeled "Senator Bread," and a moment of silence followed. [The Insider]
