Philly has been the underdog culinary darling of the national scene for the past couple years, and today, Bon Appétit has put our humble city in a starring role in their latest issue. BA put together a few full-page spreads of the best we have to offer, including doughnuts, Italian food, and snails.
Marc Vetri, one of our usual suspects, gets lots of love, and so does newly minted award-winner Kevin Sbraga. Chef Pierre Calmels of Bibou still brings the juice, too, and there's a beautiful shot of his legendary escargot. The biggest surprise of the issue, though, is all the attention given to our local coffee roasters and cafes, like La Colombe, Chestnut Hill Coffee Co., and Rival Bros. Congrats to everyone who ended up in the piece, and be sure to snag your own copy so you can show all of your friends just how cool our city really is.
