A few months back, restaurateur Chris Scarduzio announced that he was taking over the legendary South Philly bakery Artisan Boulanger at 1646 S. 12th Street, but now it appears the move is in jeopardy. Scarduzio's engineer found serious structural issues with the building, and instead of revamping the place, they're going to level the building. Until that happens though, Artisan Boulanger owners Andre and Amanda Chin are staying put.

Once the sale is complete, the Chins are taking their baking talents just down the street to 1218 Mifflin Street. The new Artisan Boulanger will be much larger than the original location, and the menu will be expanding as well.
