The fallout from Hurricane Sandy has yet to be completely assessed, but there's a little bit of pro-active info for small business owners already. FEMA has announced that there will be federal funding available to business owners who suffered the wrath of Hurricane Sandy, including restaurant and bar proprietors. The money is being made available to state and eligible local governments for debris removal, repairs, and low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses.
Restaurant operators in need of information on how to apply for disaster relief can register online, or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) between the hours of 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
