Yesterday, word came from the residents of Cape May that stalwart seaside eatery The Cove had been swept under the surge during Hurricane Sandy. Soon after, those reports were proved incorrect, but the heaviest wind and rain from the storm had yet to come.

Today, though, a picture from the shore shows The Cove is still standing and the storm has moved on. All of Philly can rest easy knowing that next Spring will bring the return of another season of eating and drinking on the beach at The Cove.
