Wursthaus Schmitz, the second outpost from the Brauhaus Schmitz crew, is getting their final health inspection today, and will open tomorrow in the Reading Terminal Market. Owner Doug Hager said that final touches are being done on the hood system, but that all of their retail goods and prepared foods will be available for purchase tomorrow. "The hot sandwiches and platters will be available in two to three weeks when the hood gets cleared, but everything else is good to go," Hager told Eater. "So anyone that wants to purchase our housemade sausages, salads, and those items can do so. We'll also have all of our Rieker's goods for sale, as well."
In addition to the sausages and salads, Wursthaus Schmitz will stock chef Jeremy Nolen's amazing spreads, charcuterie, and pretzels. The massive stall is part of the brand new construction in the market, and is located right next to the expanded Flying Monkey Patisserie.
