Kevin Sbraga's debut restaurant, Sbraga, was named one of the Best New Restaurants of 2012 by Esquire Magazine today. Sbraga has had a good first year, getting lots of love from the local food writers, but this is by far the biggest honor laid on the restaurant since opening the doors.
Sbraga spent quite awhile figuring out where to open his restaurant after winning Top Chef, but it looks like his patience has paid off in the long run. The recent addition of a chef's counter tasting menu has brought buzz back to south Broad Street, but this award is sure to pack the reservation books for months. In other words, if you were on the fence about dining at Sbraga before, get on the horn right now before the rest of the universe reads the magazine.
