Unless you were living under a rock that got no cell phone or internet reception this summer, you know that Anthony Bourdain spent a few days shooting an episode of The Layover here in Philly. This was a huge deal, as many locals are Bourdain disciples and were dickhurt that we never got our 15 minutes of food fame on any of his TV shows. Well, that all ends on December 3 at 9 p.m., when the Philly episode of The Layover airs on Travel Channel.
Bourdain visited Di Bruno Bros., Amis, Paesano's, Zahav, Pho 75, among other Philly favorites, and even drank dirty hot dog water from the crock pot at the Pen & Pencil. The lanky curmudgeon even admitted to Eater that "he should have come sooner." Be sure to tune in.
