Super restaurateur duo Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook are opening Citron and Rose on November 7 at 5 p.m., stretching their restaurant empire outside of the city limits and onto the Main Line. Unlike their previous efforts, the 75-seat Citron and Rose is strictly glatt kosher, highlighting a cuisine that doesn't end up in the spotlight too often. This isn't the first time Mike Solo has taken on the tough task of selling the general populace on unknown foods, as his award-winning Zahav features Israeli cuisine in the starring role.

While Solo was integral in developing the menu for Citron and Rose, chef Yehuda Sichel is running the day-to-day in the kitchen after spending two years working the line at Zahav. Sichel's resume is serious business, as he spent time in notable restaurants in L.A. and Philly before joining the Zahav team. He attended culinary school in Israel, as well, which gives him integral knowledge of kosher cuisine.
