Inky critic Craig LaBan gave two very strong bells to Gene Giuffi's new meat mecca, Blue Belly BBQ. Giuffi's cheffy takes on Yankee barbecue impressed LaBan, especially his meat rub, made with brown sugar, star anise, garlic, allspice, and cinnamon. Ultimately, Giuffi's sandwiches are the reason to visit Blue Belly, and the new meatloaf special is most definitely worth the price of admission. [Philly.com]
