Philadelphia Weekly restaurant critic Brian Freedman made the entertaining/stupid decision to review his mother's Thanksgiving feast this year. He also made the borderline insane choice of giving her a heads up that he would be reviewing the holiday spread, which led Mrs. Freedman to "break her back" to get everything just right. Of course, everything came out great except for the middling stuffing. Either way, it's worth a read and a ballsy move. [PW]
