Chef Jeremy Nolen is launching his hot food and sandwich menu at the shiny new Wursthaus Schmitz in the Reading Terminal Market. After some technical difficulties with the hood system, the Brauhaus Schmitz team has gotten it up and running and will be fired up to feed the masses bright and early tomorrow morning.
"We did a test run of the sandwiches at Brauhaus a little while back, and it went well," Nolen told Eater. "It's good to finally be part of the craziness that is the lunch rush at the market."
In addition to the sandwiches, Wursthaus Schmitz has added a bevy of prepared foods and re-heatable dinner platters to satiate all of your Teutonic culinary wants and desires. The specialty sandwiches are priced at $8, and the simple sausages on a roll goes for $6. The only menu item not available yet is The Schmitz, as Nolen & Co. are still working on getting enough pretzel rolls for the stand.
