New Belgium Brewing, makers of the insanely popular Fat Tire Ale, are looking to possibly set up shop here in Philly. Currently, we're on the short-short list of places they're considering for a new production facility, along with redneck North Carolina. A final decision won't be made until June, but lots of insiders are telling us that we're going to win this one. The ever-prescient beer oracle Suzy Woods adds that Sierra Nevada just chose NC for their new digs last month, so coming to Philly is probably a smart move in terms of full community support.
