PW critic Brian Freedman loves the food at just-popped American Sardine Bar, but somehow forgets to mention Executive Chef Scott Schroeder throughout the entire review. Freedman praises the insanely low price point, the perfect pairing of beer and sardine sandwiches, and a new willingness to head to Point Breeze for food. Freedman does manage to equate the bar to a "Norman Rockwell Construct," though. We'll let that one slide. At least there's no mention of Proust or Mondrian this time around. [PW]
