In case you missed it, New York Times food critic Pete Wells awarded sandwich shop/gourmet market Il Buco Alimentari three damn stars last week. Other NYC institutions that wear three stars proudly include: Marea, Babbo, Masa, Corton, and Brooklyn Fare. To those folks burning Inky critic Craig LaBan at the stake for dropping four bells on a BYOB and proclaiming this travesty would never happen in the big city, we suggest a quick trip up north to check out Il Buco.
