The PLCB released an iPhone app today to help customers navigate the insane mess that is the Wine and Spirits stores. Some features of the app, known as Fine Wine & Good Spirits, include locating bottles in stores close to your home address, and the ability to scan the bar code of the bottle you're enjoying, which will catalog for you the name of the wine that gave you a raging hangover. While this is a neat little tech trinket, we still need privatization to get the system right. A Droid version is coming soon. [Philly.com]
