Chef Mike Santoro, formerly of Talula's Garden and The Blue Duck Tavern, has just taken the keys at the former home of James restaurant at 8th and Christian Streets. Santoro said that there is no name for the restaurant yet, but that he's shooting for a June opening. Santoro has partnered up with Michael Dorris, a private chef and caterer, in the business venture. The concept will be "old world cooking" and feature a full bar.
We're excited for this new venture, and couldn't have picked a better partner for the former fine dining temple than the talented Santoro. A lot of good mojo going on with that pairing. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
