The cultiest of all cult restaurants, Café con Chocolate, is calling it quits "temporarily." Adam Erace is reporting that owner Yoshi Yamasaki needed to take an unexpected trip to Mexico to attend to her mother, who has recently been hospitalized. Yamasaki mentions CCC's out-of-the-way location, staff turnover, and serious service issues as reasons for the sudden closure, as well. Says Yamaski: "I'm hoping I can get back on my feet again. Something has to change." We do, too, as Café con Chocolate was one of our favorite hideouts in the Philly brunch scene. [Meal Ticket]
