Drew Lazor wrote a great piece about the new ramen craze in Philly over at the City Paper that's definitely worth a read. Not only does he dissect our pop-ups and the new hot spots around town, he goes deep into ramen culture and the trickle-down jealousy we're suffering from the glut of legitimately great ramen-ya in New York City. Lazor drops a nugget of news, too, as the long-in-coming Royal Izakaya should be open before summer hits. Most importantly, he suggests we stop just hating on everything how we do, and love what is sure to be the next movement in Philly. We agree. [City Paper]
