petalosbottle.jpgJose Garces' Tinto was named one of the Top 10 Best Wine Bars in America by Travel + Leisure Mag. Tinto is given love for their unique collection of more than 1,000 bottles of vino, most hailing from the Basque region, since the bar is, well, Basque-ish. While Jose is the man behind the food, we're calling out sommelier Paul Rodriguez for his excellent work on the wine, as he is responsible for the lists in every Garces restaurant. While Tinto has gone through some flux in the kitchen the last few years, it's still one of the best spots to drink in town. The mag gives a nod to Petalos, which we also count as our favorite Bierzo wine on the list. [Travel and Leisure via Eater National]
