CENTER CITY — Cheu Noodle Bar is launching their pop-up on April 1st at Matyson BYOB. The Cheu boys were once called Roundeye Noodle, but due to the ethnic hubbub surrounding their name, they've decided upon the name Cheu because they "like chewy noodles." Chef Benny P. has added a few snacks to the menu, as well as the original steamy bowls that they served at the first two pop-ups. They will be taking phone reservations (215-564-2925) again, beginning at 10AM on Saturday, March 31st. [EaterWire]
FISHTOWN — The Fishtown Neighbors Association Chili Cook-Off taking place on Sunday, March 25 from 1 P.M until 4 P.M. bringing together pros and amateurs who like to make spicy bowls of delicious stuff. For $15, you'll get samples of chili and beer from PBC, Saint Benjamin, and nano-brewery, Bombshell Brewing. [City Paper]
MARKET EAST — Delilah's has called it quits in the Reading Terminal Market. The once mighty soul food stand is officially closed due to bankruptcy, and the mini-empire owned by Delilah Winder is no more. This is truly a sad day, as Ms. Winder's first stand opened in the market in 1984. [The Insider]
