The former Rx in West Philly is being resurrected as Rimedio tomorrow night. Located at 45th and Spruce Streets, Rimedio is focusing on Northern Italian food coming from the deft hands of chef Dan Freeman, who helped open the dearly departed L'Oca in Fairmount.

Freeman's menu looks damn good, actually, and could be worth a trip to deep regular West Philly for those of you often too lazy to leave your comfy neighborhood. For those who never ate at L'Oca, there was some seriously great stuff going on there in spite of the insanity that owner Luca Garutti brought to the table, which ultimately caused it's closure.

Soft opening for the restaurant goes down tomorrow, brunch is on Saturday, and the official first dinner is Saturday night. The name Rimedio (remedy in Italian) is in reference to the space's previous life as a pharmacy, and then restaurant Rx.
