It appears that our local journalistic treasure, Phyllis Stein-Novack, has an evil (good, maybe?) twin out in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The lovely Marilyn Hagerty has written a glowing review of the long-awaited Olive Garden, which is the "biggest deal in ages" in the tiny town of 50,000 residents. Our Lady Stein-Novack—who often brings a cast of characters to dine with her and whose prose reminds us of The Onion's Smoove B—revisits Sassafras this week. She's happy to see that the menu hasn't changed since she last visited thirty years ago. Sigh. [Grand Forks Herald via Eater National]
