Rap Mogul Influenced Wingstop Purchase; Zeke's Closes

ALL OVER The Philly outposts of Wingstop were inspired by the one Rick Ross purchased in Memphis. Meal Ticket is reporting that franchisee Richard Johnson's son heard about the Wingstop the rap mogul purchased down south, and he told his father he needed to get one, too. SOCIETY HILL — Looks like Zeke's has shuttered after 20 years at 5th and Spruce. The Insider is reporting that Union Gourmet is going to replace the Zeke's and keep some of the deli elements, but will update a portion of the menu with American classics. [The Insider]

MEDIA — Chef Peter McAndrews (Modo Mio, Paesano's) has opened La Porta in Media. The menu is heavy on pizzas, "antipizza," and other Italian-influenced bites, of course. [The Insider]
