Status: Open Now until 10 P.M.

Nicole Marquis has cut the ribbon on her veggie fast food palace, HipCityVeg at 18th and Walnut, sitting right next door to a. kitchen. Marquis has tapped chef Lauren Hooks to execute the menu which was inspired by Philly's vegan-cooking guru, Rich Landau of Vedge. Marquis was a manager at Landau's previous restaurant, Horizons on South Street, which is now Nomad Pizza. The hours for HipCityVeg are 10 A.M. until 10 P.M. every day.

All of the dishes are "plant-based," and the menu broken up into salads, sides, burgers/sandwiches, drinks, sweets, and a kids menu. Nothing on the menu hits double digits in price, either, which is insane considering the address. Eater HQ stopped by today at lunch and the place was packed with a line out the door, so if you're thinking of getting in on the action early, we suggest visiting when they open at 10 A.M.
