Jalsa is opening in Old City tonight, bringing Indian food to the former Prive/Bluezette/Lena space at 246 Market Street. Owner Kayur Popat, who purchased two Saxby's Coffee spots, also owned a pizza/Indian shop in Mechanicsburg called Bombay Junction and Pizza Buffet. Popat hired Diego Rodrigues, who was born and raised in Goa, India, as his chef, and also plans to have a live DJ for late night hours on the second floor. [The Insider]
