Four Corners Management has taken over former Ortlieb's Jazz House in Northern Liberties, and is re-opening the location as Ortlieb's Lounge on April 17th. Ortlieb's shuttered in April of 2010, and multiple groups have been rumored to be interested in the space, including restaurateur Stephen Starr.
Unlike the previous incarnation of Ortlieb's, Jazz won't be the only music on the menu. The opening list of bands making an appearance include Daughn Gibson (May 4th), Andrew Winter (May 5th), and The Glotones (May 12). Tuesday nights will feature live jazz in the Jazz Jam Session, and on Wednesday, they're doing an open mic Soul Jam. Thursday night, the house band Sittin' Back will take the stage, and local DJ's are working the weekend.
The menu is full of Tex-Mex eats served every night until 11 P.M., with dishes like a catfish BLT, peel and eat shrimp, and the Ortlieb's taco. On the drink side, there working on a signature cocktail list, and 10 rotating drafts.
