Baklava Café has recently opened the doors to a world of Mediterranean sweets on South Street, across the way from Hot Diggity. The cute little shop focuses on the headliner sweet (both in pistachio and walnut varieties), as well as a full roster of baked goods, including: bird's nests, burmas, ballories, kataifi, and fingers. Got all that? Good.
There are some savory treats, including the classic spinach pies, and stuffed grape leaves. While it's always a good idea to have a well-rounded menu, the Baklava Cafe will live and die on those layers upon layers of honey-kissed phyllo dough.
