Jake's Sandwich Board just launched a Facebook ordering system for pick-ups and delivery. Jake's—which ranks among the best lunch options in the city and competes in quality and creativity with Philly-fave, Paesano's—is using an app called Eat24Hours that works seamlessly with their business page on Facebook, and makes ordering as easy as point and click.
"Delivery takes about 30 to 45 minutes, and adds a $2.50 charge," said co-owner Sean Stein. "Pickup orders are ready in 15 minutes, and doesn't add any cost to your order. The system takes credit cards or an option for cash on delivery."
To access the app, just visit Jake's page on Facebook, and click on the "Start Your Order" button along the top row next to the restaurant information. This could be a sea change for online lunch ordering, as most of you spend your entire morning at work on Facebook, anyway.
