Great Chefs Raises $1 Million for Alex's Lemonade

A rep from Great Chefs just passed along word that Marc Vetri and his band of merry cooks broke the ridiculous $1 million goal last night. More than 1,200 people attended the event and bidded on auction items.

The big auction money came in for a Vetri Dinner for 6 with Shake Shack restaurateur Danny Meyer and David Swinghamer that sold for $19,000 to two separate bidders in a tied bidding war; and a 5 day, 4 night gastro-tour of Piemonte Italy for 6 with award winning chefs Jeff Michaud & Marc Vetri that sold for $35,000.

Congrats to everyone at Great Chefs and Alex's Lemonade Stand, and a big thanks to all of the chefs, purveyors, and volunteers that donated time and goods to last night's huge event.
