Local superstar cook and Iron Chef Jose Garces is releasing his new cookbook, The Latin Road Home, on October 16. Highlighting the cuisine of Spain, Ecuador, Mexico, Cuba, and Peru, The Latin Road Home will feature the techniques and culinary history of these regions, complete with recipes from Philly's own Ecuadorian chef.
"These countries all hold special meaning to me, and have a place in my cooking career, which is now going on 20 years," Garces told Eater. "Each chapter will have small one hour weeknight menus, and then big weekend blowout party menus with cocktails, hors d'ouevres, and full-on massive dishes that anyone can recreate at home."
This is Garces' second cookbook, following Latin Evolution, which dropped in 2008 and is still listed in the Top 10 Latin Cookbooks on Amazon.
