Beard-Winner John T. Edge at Yards Brewing Tonight

John T. Edge, author of the amazing Truck Food Cookbook, is hitting up Yards Brewing tonight at 6:30 p.m. to promote his new tome, and eat some food. The Beard Award-winning writer will discuss the street food movement and his thoughts on the new American cuisine.

Edge did a very in-depth Q & A with Eater HQ about the book, and his desire for chefs across America to take their local cuisine more seriously. Most importantly, there will be a cheesesteak competition taking place between two of Philly's kitchens-on-wheels, Lil' Dan's and Spot Gourmet Burgers. If you have even a passing interest in the food truck movement in Philly, it's a worthwhile event. Entry is free, and the cheesesteaks are just $5.
