A sign popped up this weekend at the corner of 4th and Queen Streets, announcing the impending arrival of Village Kitchen & Pizzeria. Eater stopped in to chat with the owners, who said they're shooting for a grand opening on Thursday or Friday of this week.

The menu is very old school pizza take-out, with baked pasta classics, garlic breads, wings, and fries. The space has been completely renovated, and has big, bright windows, with lots of natural light. Don't expect anything Earth-shattering coming out of those ovens, but the kitchen is completely new, and it looks like they invested some serious money in the equipment. All they need now is Welch's grape soda, and a Galaga machine, and it'll be our new after-school hangout.
