Philly Vendys Finalists Announced, Winner Crowned 7/28

The finalists for the 2012 edition of the Philly Vendy Awards have been named, and it's a murderer's row of mobile munch. Last year's reigning Vendy Cup champ, Gigi and Big R, is not in the mix this time around, but the rest of Philly's food truck elite are going to be at The Lot at 39th and Market on Saturday, July 28.

Tickets are available online for $55, and include all-you-can-eat food from the trucks and beer. If you wait until the day of, there is a $5 upcharge at the gate. Just like last year, there will be separate divisions for savory and sweet dishes, and separate awards. The three trophies given out are the Vendy Cup, People's Choice, and Best Dessert.
