Baan Thai is Replacing Sonata in NoLibs

New, 2 comments

littlesonata.jpgMark Tropea, chef/owner of the just-shuttered Sonata, said his restaurant space won't stay dark for long. A new Thai restaurant, Baan Thai, will be taking over the place in short order, churning out traditional Thai cuisine by first-time restaurateur experienced restaurateur, Samantha Saengsupon Marsh.

"It's probably a better fit for the neighborhood, and at a price point that works in this economy," Tropea told Eater. "But, I'm a free agent now, so if anyone is looking for a chef, give me a shout."

Tropea won't stay unemployed for long, so if you're a restaurant owner looking for a new chef, you should pull the trigger now or miss your chance. For the next two weeks, Tropea will be helping Owen Kamihira at El Camino Real with some front of the house transitional duties.
