Joncarl Lachman is in town looking at spaces for his upcoming Dutch restaurant, Winkel. Lachman, who owns Home Bistro in Chicago, has narrowed his search down to just a few storefronts.
"I'm down to Mémé, Fond, and I was looking at Zen-Nor, too," Lachman told Eater Philly. "But, I have my heart set on a space on East Passyunk, but we will see how it works out."
Lachman was born and raised in Philly and fell in love with cooking here before venturing out on his own, and landing in Chicago. He opened Home Bistro and Vincent (which he sold, recently), and has long wanted to open a space in Philly. Looks like he won't have to wait long.
