After the shuttering of Delilah's in the Reading Terminal Market, there was a mile-wide soul food void left in the building. The Insider is reporting that it won't be the case for long, as four other soul food operators are vying for the space left empty in March.
The original Delilah's opened in 1984 in the market, and was the battleground for a Bobby Flay Throwdown over mac and cheese. Delilah Winder also found success thanks to a big pop from TV queen Oprah Winfrey, who praised the very same dish. Hopefully the next operator will bring the same noise Ms. Winder did during her tenure in the RTM.
