While Marc Vetri is doing his best to fix the awful school lunch program in Philly, Kevin Sbraga is trying to take us on a trip down memory lane.
The new chef's counter at Sbraga had a good first run, and now they're getting creative. Starting September 4, Sbraga is whipping up a 6-course meal inspired by the eats we suffered through from September until June during our formative years, with a sophisticated twist. The dinner will set you back $75, and there's an optional wine pairing for $50.
First: "Canned" Tuna Fish (Tartare) with Toast Points and Caviar
Second: "Lunchables" with Cheese, Charcuterie, Crackers, and Crudité
Third: Grilled Cheese-Tomato-Bacon Sandwich and Heirloom Tomato Soup
Fourth: Fish Sticks with Tartar Sauce and French Fries
Fifth: Salisbury Steak with Tater Tots and Onion-Mushroom Gravy
Sixth: Chocolate Milk Sorbet with Raspberry Jelly and White Chocolate Pudding
