Han Chiang Confirms Han Dynasty for New Jersey

Even though he is currently doing a whirlwind tour in China, Han Chiang reached out to Eater and confirmed his plans to open a new Han Dynasty in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. And while Chiang will be in Asia until the end of 2012, he said that his plan is to open the New jersey outpost by the end of October.

"I have already signed the lease, so it's a done deal" Chiang told Eater. "And, I have a great team. We are shooting for end of October, and you can pretty much bet on that being the case."

Chiang has opened all of his new ventures very quickly, so it's a good gamble that this one will go the same way. The restaurateur also said he's trying to convince some of the teaching chefs he's met on his trip to come to the U.S.A. and train other cooks here, so there won't be a drop in quality when he isn't there.

"Keeping good chefs around isn't easy," Chiang said. "And this would be a great way to make sure we have all of that talent in the kitchen."
