Holly Ricciardi's long-in-coming pie place, Magpie, is finally opening up this weekend at 1622 South Street. On Saturday, September 1, at 11 a.m., the doors will swing open to the shop, which has both sweet and savory pies on the roster. Slices will run between $4.50 and $8.50, and whole pies will set you back from $28 to $35, which need to be pre-ordered in advance.
The menu includes three fruit pies (Plum Cherry Almond, Orange Blossom Peach Raspberry, Buttery Caramel Apple), four custard pies (Sour Berry Thyme Custard, Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse, Lime Custard with Basil Whipped Cream, Butterscotch Bourbon), and three savories (Tomato Corn Cheddar, Chicken Tarragon with White Wine Sauce, Croque Monsieur).
