While it's no secret that local hero Questlove has partnered with Graham Elliot to launch his catering service, ?uest Loves Food, some new info suggests they're looking at opening a brick and mortar in The Big Apple, too.
Eater Chicago is reporting that Elliot has his sights set on L.A. for a few new projects, but at the end of the interview, he name drops The Mighty Afro in regards to a possible restaurant partnership in the future. The bespectacled chef says that the concept would probably focus on fried chicken (duh), or possibly other classic Elliot dishes.
There's no doubt this concept would be a huge success no matter where it opens, but Questlove's name still brings the fire in a big way here in Philly. Our obsession with Federal Donuts shows that Philly can support gourmet fried chicken on a huge scale, and they're not open for business during weeknights. Looks like a pretty big opportunity to be successful, considering the recent Mémé shutter, and ridiculously long needed to procure Cafe Soho's famous bird.
