A shotgun-toting robber wearing a dress did his best to abscond with $22,000 in cash from Fogo de Chao on Chestnut Street. After forcing the manager into a back office, would-be thief James Dudnyk collected the cash from a safe, and threw down pepper spray on his way out the door to escape. As he ran out the front door, Dudnyk was caught in a scuffle by other employees, and ended up dropping the bag of money and some of his costume before being snagged by police nearby.
Chef David Katz announced he was headed to Fogo de Chao earlier in the night, but swears he had nothing to do with the robbery, or the dress. He added that the meat at dinner was "pretty good."
