Philly's most-beloved pastry chef, Monica Glass, is headed north to Boston to work for Ken Oringer at Clio. Glass, who was once part of the dynamic duo along with Top Cheffer Jen Carroll at 10 Arts, said the opportunity came quickly, and she's sad to leave the city.

"It wasn't planned, but we all need work, after all," Glass told Eater. "I didn't want to leave Philly, but it's an opportunity I can't pass up."

Glass said she will be doing more modern and contemporary desserts for Oringer, who also owns the critically lauded restaurants Uni, Coppa and Toro, in Boston. Glass will pack her knives and go on August 22, and start work soon after.
