Matt Scheller is Out at The Farmer's Cabinet

Superstar beer nerd dreamboat/bar manager Matt Scheller has left The Farmer's Cabinet. He confirmed the split to Eater this morning, but said the decision was for personal reasons and that everything went down amicably. As with everything else in the F-Cab orbit, that info should be taken with a grain of salt, though. Turnover and the opening and closing of restaurants occurs quite frequently with the ownership group.

Either way, the reality is that Scheller isn't there to run the beer program anymore, which was the reason most of our readers frequented the establishment. Scheller, who is a Lehigh graduate with a degree in architecture, said he was thinking about doing something with his education. "I followed my beer passion and made a go of it, but maybe it's run its course," Scheller told Eater. "So, I'm still trying to figure out what my next move is."

Rumor has it that Alyssa Wegner, formerly of Brauhaus Schmitz, has replaced Scheller as bar manager.
