Scott Coudriet and his wife Taylor are opening a whiskey bar in the wilds of Fishtown called Lloyd. Inspired by the name of Scott's father Lloyd (and not the dapper bartender in The Shining), who is also a partner in the project, they're looking to become a haunt for the up-and-coming neighborhood locals offering a massive brown liquor list, high-end booze, and no pretention. Scott and Taylor are bringing years of whiskey bar experience to the city, as both spent time in NYC's well-received Whiskey Ward in the Lower East Side.

Lloyd is moving into 529 E. Girard Avenue, which once operated as the Kitchen Nightmares failure Hot Potato Cafe. It's a good bet, though, that Lloyd will do just fine slinging drinks to the young masses who would rather get buzzed than eat a root vegetable. The Insider is saying that Lloyd is shooting for an October opening.
