The always-entertaining Phyllis Stein-Novack gave out a very rare "Four Tips of the Toque" to Jason Cichonski and his Queen Village restaurant Ela. She fell in love with his Wagyu beef, pork shank, whipped foie gras, and a heady French onion soup with smoked cherries. PSN's visit was much later than most of her colleagues, but it underlines the staying power and bright future that Ela has going into 2013. [South Philly Review]
