Ben Puchowitz and Shawn Darragh have been working hard to make their ramen dreams a reality, and today, they announced that it's happening. Cheu Noodle Bar has moved into the former Maru Global space at 255 S. 10th St., and hopes to be open by the end of February.
The menu will be broken into three parts: snacks, vegetables, and, of course, noodles. They're completely renovating the space, which will feature an open kitchen and 30 seats, most of which will be at the bar. Darragh also said that there will probably be a couple other sections on the menu, but he's keeping them a secret for now. They are filing for a liquor license, too, but the details of that haven't been finalized just yet.
This is great news for the neighborhood and for the noodle fans in Philly. Their pop-ups were extremely successful, and ended up selling out in minutes after the phone lines opened up, so it looks like they've got a hit on their hands.
